Celebrate Valentine’s Day in an RV

As nice as a dinner out at a nice, plush restaurant may sound, why not try something a little different this Valentine’s Day?

How about an evening of complete privacy, free of distractions and phones? Load up the love of your life in the RV, take a quick trip to a quiet spot, and enjoy your time together.

After all, RVing together may not seem like it, but it can be very romantic - much more romantic than a simple candlelit dinner! But what can you do with an RV that will make a truly memorable experience?

Keep reading on for some great ideas to make this Valentine’s Day one to remember:

Before You Go - Get in the Kitchen, Together!
When it comes time to go on your special Valentine’s trip, the last thing you’ll want to do is waste time cooking, cleaning, or gathering together any snacks and drinks. Instead, get in the kitchen with your loved one a day or two before your date and prepare everything you need.

That includes your meal, snacks, drinks - whatever you want to bring with you! The best part is that this is something you’ll do together.

Idea #1 - Decorate the RV

When it comes to Valentine’s Day, there are plenty of options when it comes to adding some sweetness to your RV! From rose petals to charcuterie boards, romantic lighting, some flowers in a vase, and more, you can do something special that hardly takes any time at all. Just make sure to skip the candles - an open flame in an RV is not a great idea!

Idea #2 - Drive to a Romantic Destination

Want to turn your romantic Valentine’s Day date into a full RV trip? Surprise your spouse by taking them to a romantic destination, including the beach, vineyards or wine trails, a beautiful lake view, woodsy sites like campgrounds, or a spot near a town or city you’ve wanted to visit.

Idea #3 - Have Dinner and a Movie

Skip the crowded restaurants and movie theaters. Drive to a nice, quiet area with your prepared meal and enjoy it together. Then, get ready with your tablet and TV along with a DVD or a downloaded movie, and snuggle up close! Want to take it a step further? Get a projector and watch the movie outdoors, on the side of your RV!

     Idea #4 - Play Valentine’s Day Bingo

Print some free templates at home and play bingo with your spouse - with a Valentine’s Day twist! Use heart-shaped candies as card markers, give out chocolate for prizes, shake it up with different types of bingo (four corners, blackout, diagonals only, etc.)... whatever you want to do to make this a great Valentine’s activity.

Idea #5 - Watch for Shooting Stars

After dinner and dessert, lay out a blanket and look up… Watching the stars is a great way to relax with your spouse and unwind. You can search for galaxies and different constellations, sharing what you found with your partner. Make sure to keep an eye out for any shooting stars!

      Idea #6 - Set Up a Campfire

Sometimes, the simple classics are the best way to go. Put on some relaxing music, start up a  campfire, and sit by it with your partner, enjoying each other’s company and the beautiful atmosphere. Maybe even heat up some S’mores or open a bottle of wine!

Now that you’ve got some great ideas for making your RV a pivotal part of your Valentine’s Day celebration, it’s time to get to it! Just make sure that, before the big day comes, you give your vehicle a nice, thorough cleaning  from top to bottom, inside and out.

However, if it’s been a while since you did so or if your RV has been constantly bombarded with splattered bugs, grease, grime, dirt, etc., it’s going to take a bit more than soap and water to get the job done.

Something like Bugs N’ All, Procelle’s multi-purpose vehicle cleaner, that is perfect for any surface (even carpets) of ANY vehicle! This safe and effective cleaning solution turns dried bug guts, oxidation marks, grease and grime, and more into an easily removable mush - in just 60 seconds.
